European Commission may propose visa lift for Ukraine Apr 20 — media

The European Commission on Wednesday may put forward a proposal for the abolition of a visa regime for the Ukrainians who travel to the EU, that`s according to a Brussels correspondent of RFE/RL Rikard Jozwiak.
”The proposal for visa liberalization for Ukraine will most probably come tomorrow,” he tweeted.
As UaPosition reported earlier, the European Commission had not specified the date when it would decide to grant Ukraine a visa-free regime, but confirmed that it would happen in April.
On March 17, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said the European Commission in April was ready to make a proposal for visa liberalization with Ukraine.
On March 23, head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Jan Tombinski said that the European Council and the European Parliament in the first half of this year will evaluate Ukraine`s progress in fulfilling the necessary requirements of the visa liberalization action plan.
