The European Commission expects the Ukrainian government to raise the gas price for households.
A European Commission spokesperson told this to an Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels.
“We expect that Ukraine will increase the gas prices for consumers. But it is up to the [Ukrainian] government how to implement this decision, and according to which schedule,” he said.
He recalled that the increase in energy prices for Ukrainian consumers is one of the agreements reached between the IMF and the government of Ukraine, which will ensure the fulfillment of the conditions for continuation of the macro-financial credit program.
