EU sanctions against Russia come into force

New sanctions imposed by the European Union on Russia have come into force, AFP has reported on its Twitter page.
Restrictive measures will affect major Russian oil companies Rosneft, Gazpromneft, Transneft and defense companies Oboronprom, United Aircraft Corporation and Uralvagonzavodand.
In addition, the new “black list” of persons includes Donetsk terrorist leader Alexander Zakharchenko, State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Rostec CEO Sergei Chemezov, as well as State Duma Deputy Speakers Vladimir Vasilyev, Ivan Melnikov, Nikolai Levichev and Igor Lebedev.
