If Russia does not change its policies towards Ukraine, the European Union is ready to continue to “tighten the screws”.
Richard Kuehnel, Head of Representation of the European Commission in Germany, told Deutsche Welle when asked about EU sanctions against Russia and possible responses from Moscow.
“As for Russia’s threat to close its airspace for the transit of European aircraft, the EU can act based on the principle of “an eye for an eye” Kuehnel said.
