EU prolongs economic sanctions against Russia

The European Union has adopted its previous decision to prolong for another six months the economic sanctions against Russia earlier introduced due to its actions in Ukraine, according to an UNIAN correspondent in Brussels.
”The decision on sanctions against Russia has been adopted,” the report says.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on June 21, the European Union prolonged for another six months the economic sanctions against Russia earlier imposed for Moscow`s actions in Ukraine.
The EU sanctions provide for the restriction of cooperation with Russian banks, import and export trade, particularly oil, gas and arms.
The decision will be announced in the Official Journal of the European Union on Saturday, July 2.
