Council of the European Union will hold an urgent meeting on Thursday, January 29, due to the escalation of violence in Donbas.
This decision was made by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, the European External Action Service reported.
“Following yesterday’s attack on Mariupol and the escalation of violence in Donbas Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, decided to convene extraordinary Foreign Affairs Council this coming Thursday, 29 January, in Brussels,” reads the statement.
