EU concerned Rada ”almost paralyzed”

Head of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski has voiced concern over the fact that the work of the Ukrainian Parliament was being blocked lately.
Comments came during a presentation of the first systemic report ”Ukraine and the Association Agreement: Monitoring of Implementation in 2014-2016” drafted by the Ukrainian Center for European Policy, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
In the context of Ukraine`s prospects of becoming an EU member in 10 years, the Ambassador stressed that Ukraine needs to set such goals, but the country also needs to move from a policy of declarations to a policy of real action.
Tombibski said the EU was concerned with the fact that the Urkainian parliament was ”almost paralyzed” in the past weeks.
The work needs to be unblocked, according to Jan Tombinski who said this is necessary primarily for the implementation and launch of the needed reforms.
