Enemy saboteurs attack Ukraine military near Avdiyivka

The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 41 times in the past 24 hours, using banned weapons, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
In the Donetsk sector, the Ukrainian military recorded 21 cases of militant shelling. In addition to small arms, the enemy used 120mm mortars near the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Nevelske and Novoselivka Druha, as well as 82mm mortars near Butivka coal mine and the village of Verkhniotoretske. The militants also fired heavy machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the villages of Zaitseve and Maiorsk.
In addition, at about 19:00 Kyiv time, an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group of up to eight people, supported by fire from 82mm mortars, made an attempt to approach our fortified positions near Avdiyivka from the town of Yasynuvata. The Ukrainian soldiers returned fire, forcing the enemy group to retreat.
According to the press center, in the Mariupol sector, the enemy attacked ATO forces 18 times near the town of Maryinka, and the villages of Hranitne, Taramchuk and Hnutove, using heavy machine guns and grenade launchers, as well as an anti-aircraft gun and 82mm and 120mm mortars near the town of Krasnohorivka. The Russian-backed mercenaries fired from small arms, infantry fighting vehicles and 82mm and 120mm mortars on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Shyrokyne.
In Luhansk region, enemy snipers were active near the town of Schastia.
