The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine did not change significantly last night, although militants fired at Ukrainian military positions 11 times, ATO spokesman Leonid Matiukhin has reported on Facebook.
“The militants continued armed provocations, firing at Ukrainian servicemen with small arms, grenade launchers and mortars. The bandits opened fire on the positions of our warriors 11 times,” he said.
According to Matiukhin, the situation was tense near Donetsk.
“Last night illegal armed groups fired at Maryinka twice with small arms. Terrorists also twice opened grenade launcher and mortar fire on the Donetsk airport and the settlements of Pisky and Hranitne,” he said.
