Kyiv City Council has approved the provision of 102 apartments to Elita-Center housing fraud victims, a Ukrinform correspondent has reported.
“As many as 1,443 people had officially been recognized by law enforcement agencies as the victims of the scam by the Elita-Center group of construction companies, of whom 149 received apartments in 2012 and 113 people, given the 102 the decision on whom was made today, in 2014,” Director of the Department of Architecture and Urban Development at Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Spasybko said.
He said that apartments were provided by companies that had won a competition from Kyiv Investment Agency and received the permit for construction on a certain land plot in exchange for the provision of a certain percentage of apartments to Elita-Center fraud victims.
