22 people have disappeared over the last period in occupied Crimea, the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Ukrainian MP Mustafa Dzhemilev wrote on Facebook.
”According to our data, the number of missing people in Crimea is 22 at the moment, most of them are Crimean Tatars. These are the cases we are aware of, but there can be more…” wrote Dzhemilev.
Dzhemilev said there were cases when the fact of the disappearance of individuals was used a threat during interrogations by security forces.
”The disappearance of people is often used by security officials as a threat during interrogations. If the people questioned by the FSB retain their dignity, they can be asked whether they are afraid that they or their children may disappear as well,” he said.
As UaPosition reported earlier, on April 14, a court hearing will be held in Russia in the case of the ban on entry of the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Dzhemilev, to the Russian-occupied Crimea, said his lawyer, Mark Feygin.
