Donbas war update: One Ukrainian soldier wounded in last day

No Ukrainian soldiers were killed but one was wounded in militant shelling in Donbas in the last day, according to the Ukrainian presidential administration.
”All Ukrainian troops are alive, but one was wounded during the shelling of the town of Maryinka in the past day,” speaker for the administration for Anti-Terrorist Operation issues Andriy Lysenko said in Kyiv on Monday.
In his words, the situation in the ATO zone remained relatively stable, but there were single acts of provocation by Russian-backed militants.
”In the past 24 hours, the militants violated the ceasefire six times,” he said.
According to him, there were no attacks in the Luhansk sector yesterday, while militants based in the Donetsk sector shelled Ukrainian positions four times.
In particular, the situation was tense near the town of Avdiyivka, where militants used guns on an infantry combat vehicle, grenade launchers and small arms to shell Ukrainian troops.
Militants also fired grenade launchers and small arms near the village of Zaitseve, while large-caliber machine-guns were used in the village of Luhanske located at along the Svitlodarska Duha – a stretch between the militant-controlled town of Horlivka and the town of Svitlodarsk in Donetsk region. Ukrainian troops were forced to return fire, Lysenko added.
Ukrainian positions near Maryinka and the village of Hnutove in the Mariupol sector were shelled by militants with the use of small arms and grenade launchers.
As UNIAN reported, Russian proxies resumed attacks on Tuesday night after a break during Orthodox Easter holidays.
