Discussion on Donbas ”road map” in Minsk short because of Russian position – Klimkin

A discussion on a ”road map” of Donbas settlement in Minsk was short, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, who said the Russian side did not agree with key priorities of Ukraine, 112 Ukraine TV channel reported from a briefing following a meeting of the Normandy Four top diplomats November 29.

”A discussion on the logic of the ”road map”. Alas, it was rather short, as the Russian side does not agree on the key priorities. A fundamental difference remains between us as to the the vision of the ”road map”. What the Russian side wants is to actually legitimize its protectorate, or a colony, in Donbas, without making any steps to transfer control of the territory of the occupied Donbas to the international community, the OSCE; without making steps to improve security, not carrying out humanitarian steps,” said Klimkin.

Earlier Pavlo Klimkin said that he had presented at the meeting of foreign ministers of the Normandy Four in Minsk a photo of a Russian military drone and its flight route over Ukraine, as evidence of Russian aggression.
