Dialogue on Ukraine’s future impossible without Poland – Schetyna

Successful negotiations on the future of Ukraine are impossible without Poland.
Polish Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna told this to the TVP.INFO television channel late on Wednesday.
“I believe and I want to emphasize that there can be no effective negotiations on the future of Ukraine, Ukrainian-Russian relations or conflict settlement without the active participation of Poland. We know these things and want to participate in the resolution of this conflict,” Schetyna said.
He added that during the presentation of Poland’s foreign policy tasks for 2014-2015 at the Sejm on Thursday, he would focus on “security issues.”
“What is now happening in Ukraine, Syria or Iraq is a major challenge and test to foreign policy,” Schetyna said.
Earlier, in an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza, Schetyna said that the best format for negotiations with Ukraine and Russia on the settlement of the crisis were talks involving the Weimar Triangle countries (Germany, France and Poland).
