Despite all Russia’s claims, Ukraine was not involved in shooting down MH-17 – US Department of State

Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications at U.S. Department of State, Marie Harf, in Daily Press Briefing on June 2, 2015, stated that despite all Russia’s claims, Ukraine was not involved in shooting down the civilian flight MH-17 in the Donetsk region.

Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications said that no Ukrainian air defense systems were within range of the crash of the flight MH-17 and Russia’s versions were changing all the time:

“MH-17 was shot down by a surface-to-air missile fired from separatist-controlled territory in eastern Ukraine, period. We are confident that no Ukrainian air defense systems were within range of the crash, and Ukrainian forces have not fired a single surface-to-air missile during the conflict.”

“So now the story’s changing on the Russian side. First they said it wasn’t a Buk missile. Now suddenly they’re saying it is, but it wasn’t them. So I just think the credibility is not 100 percent here on that.”

Actually, earlier Dutch journalists said that troops who shot down MH17 could be ‘liquidated’ by Russian secret services.

The fact that MH17 flight was shot down on July 17, 2014 in the Donetsk region in Eastern Ukraine by the Russian Buk missile complex was evidenced by the film of the investigation.

Recently a metal shrapnel of BUK rocket was found on the the crash site of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. The international forensic experts and the defense analysts IHS Jane’s in London confirmed that the fragment matched the explosive charge of a BUK (Russian-made anti-aircraft missile system). This fact is the definite proof that Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down by Russian-made missile BUK.
