CVU does not rule out bribery at elections to Verkhovna Rada

The Committee of Voters of Ukraine (CVU) believes that during the early parliamentary elections, candidates for deputies will continue to bribe the voters.
CVU Deputy Director General Natalia Lynnyk told a press conference on Monday, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to her, direct and indirect forms of bribery will be used. “A significant portion of shadow funds of parliamentary candidates will be spent for these goals,” Lynnyk said.
Among the forms of bribery, expected by the CVU, repair of roads, buildings, providing free treatment as a reward for winning the contests /competitions, provision of free gifts, organization of medical examinations, assistance to people, who suffered during the ATO, etc. At the same time, the CVU warns that candidates may not complete the repairs, saying that there is “not enough time.”
The organization also expects direct vote-buying. As Natalia Lynnyk explained, during the direct bribery, a voter is offered a certain amount of money for voting for a particular candidate or political party.
In turn, analyst Oleksandr Kliuzhev, who attended the event, already noted some bribing and notes that the situation of bribery of voters largely depends on the position of the voters themselves.
