Civilian wounded in militants artillery attack on Maryinka

Russian-backed militants fired artillery on a residential district in Ukrainian town of Maryinka, injuring one local resident, the Department of Communications of the National Police`s General Directorate in Donetsk region reported.
”A residential district in Maryinka suffered an artillery strike, resulting in one person being wounded. A house was damaged in Avdiyivka, causing no casualties. The police were operating on the sites,” a statement reads.
The incident was reported to the police station in Maryinka at 10:15 p.m. It is noted that the owner of the residential house tried to hide in a basement when a shell exploded nearby. The explosion left the man with shrapnel wounds to his legs. He was taken to a hospital in Kurakhove.
The criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Art. 258 (Terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The residential house in Avdiyivka also came under enemy artillery attack, according to the police.
Information on casualties or damages is being verified. Terrorist crimes are recorded by the police, according to the report.
As UaPosition reported earlier, the Ukrainian army positions came under fire 91 times in last day.
