Checkpoints in Donbas conflict zone may temporarily be closed, Lysenko says

Checkpoints in the parts of the Donbas conflict zone may temporarily be closed, if necessary, to ensure the safety of citizens.
Anti-terrorist operation press officer Andriy Lysenko reported the news at a briefing in the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“If these checkpoints obtain information about possible dangers, they will be temporarily closed. One needs to realize that the Ukrainian army and authorities cooperate to ensure the safety of our citizens,” Lysenko said.
He also said the regime of border crossing from the parts of the Donbas conflict zone had been made specially complicated for “saboteurs who are trying to bring weapons, explosives and the like into the territory of Ukraine.”
Checkpoints will remain in operation as long as the threat of subversive activities persists, Lysenko said.
