Budget of OSCE police mission in Donbas may reach about $1 bln

The budget of the police mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe? to be deployed in Donbas may reach about $1 billion, Ukraine`s representative in security subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group Yevhen Marchuk told Hromadske TV.
”I`ve been told about the approximate budget of the mission. I do not know when the funds committed will be available. A little less than a billion dollars,” Marchuk said.
Marchuk also informed that during the talks in Minsk on June 15 it was agreed that troops should be withdrawn 1.5-2 km away from the demarcation line at several sections in Donbas, which is believed to help reduce the number of attacks.
According to Marchuk, if the Ukrainian armed forces are forced to start their offensive against militants, the entire peace process will be under threat.
