Bloc of Petro Poroshenko says two factions to enter Rada coalition

MP from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice Sergey Alexeev has said that the parliamentary coalition will consist of two parliamentary factions – the People`s Front and the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko, the press service of the party reported.
”We are ready to take responsibility and form a government. Even if it is a Kamikaze-2 government, still we will make efforts to bring Ukraine out of crisis. However, we are unpleasantly surprised that in these difficult times, we cannot rely on our former coalition partners,” the press service quoted Alexeev as saying.
Alexeev expressed confidence that the new coalition would include only two parliamentary factions – the People`s Front and the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko.
”There will be a coalition, and it will consist of two factions, it is a normal European practice. As it is already clear, the Batkivschyna, the Radical Party and the Samopomich factions will not enter the coalition. But some MPs, who were members of these factions and the previous coalition, had entered our faction, and we will still be accepting [others]. The main principle is that we will not accept former MPs from the Party of Regions,” the politician said.
Alexeev said that the formation of a new coalition and the government was the only correct way out of this situation. According to him, the political forces that are trying to undermine the situation and provoke early parliamentary elections, do not want to see Ukraine as a strong unitary state.
”If we do not form the coalition, we will start the election process. The fact that it will start is 100%, but how and when it will end, no one knows. There will be an even greater destabilization,” said Alexeev.
The politician once again stressed that in order to carry out all the necessary reforms, Ukraine needs the government that would be able to cooperate effectively with the Parliament, compared to the current government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
”A government that cannot cooperate with the Parliament, cannot carry out reforms, and the People`s Front also sees that,” Alexeev said.
