Batkivshchyna gets three committees in Verkhovna Rada

Representatives of the All-Ukrainian Association Batkivshchyna will head three parliamentary committees.
MP Andriy Kozhemiakin told about such an agreement to reporters on the parliament’s sidelines, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Batkivshchyna got three committees during the distribution,” the MP said.
He specified that the matter concerns the committees on legislative support and law enforcement activities, national minorities and human rights, as well as local self-government.
As regards their heads, the faction has already decided that Kozhemiakin will head the legislative committee, Hryhoriy Nemyria – committee on human rights, and Serhiy Vlasenko – local self-government committee.
In addition, the politician noted that the deputies agreed not to appoint as chairmen of committees and their first deputies those, who voted for “January 16 laws.”
