Austrian newspaper says Mogherini really talked about autonomy for east Ukraine

Austrian newspaper Kurier has said that in an interview with this newspaper, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini really talked about the granting of an autonomy status to eastern Ukraine.
A Kurier correspondent and the author of interview, Margaretha Kopeinig, told this to Ukrinform.
“In an authorized English version her [Mogherini’s] answer to our questions is an ‘autonomy status for the east [of Ukraine],'” she said.
However, Kopeinig confirmed that the interview published on Monday had been recorded before Mogherini assumed the office of the EU High Representative. “The full version of the interview will be released on December 1,” the journalist added.
As reported, on November 24, Kurier published on its website an interview with EU High Representative Federica Mogherini where she stated that the EU expects from Kyiv “respect for the culture and language of the people, an autonomy status for the east and institutional reforms.” Her spokesperson, Maja Kocijancic, in turn, said that Mogherini had not talked about granting “autonomy” to eastern Ukraine.
