Australian PM Abbott calls Malaysian jet crash ‘atrocity’

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott thanked Ukraine for the efforts to help all nations affected by the crash of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777.
He told this to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Wednesday.
“I am impressed with the will power that you and the people of Ukraine demonstrate in such difficult circumstances and with the support and condolences you convey to all nations affected by this atrocity,” the Australian head of government said, adding: “It even can’t be called tragedy. The thing that happened is atrocity.”
In turn, President Poroshenko told Abbott that despite the dreadful tragedy with the Malaysia Airlines aircraft, terrorists had not stopped violent actions and continued shelling. “Today [Wednesday, July 23 – ed.], they shot down two Ukrainian aircrafts Su-25. The President emphasized that the so-called “DPR” and “LPR” must be recognized terrorist organizations. Particularly, the EU has already stipulated the possibility of such status in the conclusions of the Council of the European Union at the level of Foreign Ministers, the head of state noted.
On July 17 in eastern Ukraine the pro-Russian terrorists downed the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777, flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, killing 298 people.
