ATO report: militants attack Ukraine forces 77 times overnight

The most dangerous situation was recorded in the Mariupol direction, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation headquarters reported on the morning of Sunday, July 17.
Over the past day, the terrorists opened fire 77 times at the strongpoints of the Ukrainian military in Donbas, of which 37 times – in Mariupol direction, 31 – in Donetsk direction, and nine – in Luhansk direction.
In particular, in the direction of Mariupol, the enemy shelled the strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Pavlopil from 152-millimeter artillery banned under the Minsk agreements. In addition, the 122-mm self-propelled guns where used in Vodiane, 120mm mortars – in Shyrokine, Hranite, Maryinka, and Talakivka. In Shyrokine, the enemy snipers were active.
In Donetsk direction, the situation was tense in Avdiyivka. The enemy was shooting at Ukrainian troops from 122-millimeter guns, 120mm and 82mm mortars, rocket-propelled grenades, and small arms.
The occupation forces shelled the Ukrainian defenders in Novoseivka, Nevelske and near Butivka mine from 120mm caliber mortars. Also, in the Donetsk region, the enemy has mobilized armored vehicles, anti-aircraft guns, anti-tank missiles and heavy machine guns.
In Luhansk region, the adversary fired at the positions of the AFU in Stariy Aidar from 120mm and 82mm mortars. Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka were also mortared.
