ATO HQ reports enemy`s new attempt to seize Ukrainian-held Maryinka

The Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) headquarters has reported about a new attempt by the enemy to seize the Ukrainian-held positions in the town of Maryinka in Donbas.
”At about 21:00 on Thursday, an enemy group of up to 30 saboteurs, using grenade launchers and small arms, attempted to take our fortified positions in Maryinka in the Mariupol sector,” the press service of the ATO HQ wrote on Facebook on Friday.
”Ukrainian troops fired back and made the enemy retreat. There were no losses among our soldiers,” it said.
In addition, the Russian-backed mercenaries opened fire from 82mm mortars on ATO fortified positions in the town of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka, and the village of Vodiane, while they used grenade launchers near the villages of Pavlopil, Shyrokyne and Hnutove, as well as heavy machine-guns in the villages of Strohnativka and Lebedynske.
”In the Donetsk sector, the enemy repeatedly fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, anti-aircraft guns, heavy machine guns and small arms on those defending the town of Avdiyivka,” the report says.
In addition, the militants used 82mm mortars in the villages of Troyitske and Maiorsk, grenade launchers in the villages of Zaitseve and Novhorodske, and heavy machine-guns near the village of Luhanske.
In Luhansk region, the enemy fired grenade launchers on the village of Lopaskyne.
In total, the combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 56 times in the past 24 hours. The Donetsk sector was attacked 33 times, the Mariupol sector 21 times and the Luhansk sector twice, the ATO HQ said.
