The Ukrainian military operating in the area of Novohnativka, Volnovakha district, in the zone of the Anti-Terrorist Operation, seized ammunition and gear of the Russian army from a sabotage group, chief of the Main Intelligence Department of the Defense Ministry Vadym Skibytskyi told reporters at a briefing on Friday.
”The Russian Federation has been equipping the saboteurs who operate in the east of our country. On May 29, [the Ukrainian forces] seized the gear and ammunition of the Russian production of one of the subversive groups that had operated near Novohnativka, Volnovakha district,” he said.
Skibytskyi noted that the gear seized by the ATO forces is produced in Russia and is supplied exclusively to the Russian military.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian intelligence spotted deployment of Russian military equipment in the occupied areas of Donbas.
