Antonov ready to test second An-148 aircraft for North Korea

Antonov state-run aircraft manufacturer in Kyiv rolled out the second An-148 aircraft for North Korean Air Koryo airline and it prepares to conduct its tests.
The news is reported by avianews.com portal.
The assembly of the aircraft was completed after receiving two sets of chassis produced by Hidromash Russian plant in Nizhny Novgorod. The second set is for An-158 contracted for Cuban Cubana airline.
As a background note, the deal for supply of AN-148 and AN-158 has been funded by Russian leasing company Ilyushin Finance. Aircraft production plant in Kyiv transferred earlier five An-158 to Cuba and one An-148 to North Korea in cooperation with the Russians.
Antonov plant had to produce two aircraft for North Korea in 2014. However, the delay was due to the lack of chassis manufactured by Yuzhmash plant in Dnipropetrovsk. It can produce a total of eight sets per year and Yuzhmash is currently contracted by several other aircraft manufacturers.
