Antonov purchases $8 mln worth of Russian equipment

On September 19, 2015, Antonov design bureau, which is a Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing and services company and part of the state-run Ukroboronprom Concern, signed an agreement with PJSC ”VASO” (Russia) for the supply of aggregates, parts and components for civil aircraft worth $7.65 million, according to an investigative report by Nashi Hroshi (Our Money) project.
Data on the agreement were made public in the Bulletin of public procurement in June 2016, the report says.
Antonov ordered parts of the front and rear wing mechanization, cockpit canopy glazing, engine nacelle, pylons, empennage, and bellows.
In 2016, Russia will supply components for the amount of $1.07 million. Dates for the remaining sets are not specified in the report. Model aircraft, for which all goods are designed, is also unknown.
Voronezh Aircraft Joint Stock Company (VASO) is part of the Russian JSC United Aircraft Corporation, whose main shareholder is the Russian State.
