Another international gas trader enters Ukraine

Gas trader DufEnergy (Switzerland) in late April established its subsidiary company in Ukraine for trade in natural gas and other energy resources, DufEnergy Ukraine (Kyiv), according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, OilNews reports.

The founders of DufEnergy Ukraine are DufEnergy Trading SA (Switzerland) and DufEnergy SA (Luxembourg). CEO of the representative office is Zoya Holovina.

The main licensed activity of DufEnergy Ukraine is the trade in natural gas. In addition, the Ukrainian subsidiary deals with the production and trade of electricity, as well as metals, ores and industrial chemicals.

In November 2016, Swiss DufEnergy Trading SA signed contracts for the transportation and storage of natural gas with the state-owned operator of Ukraine`s gas transportation system Ukrtransgaz.

Earlier, on May 16, Trafigura, which is considered to be the world`s third largest energy trader, opened its office in Ukraine to trade in natural gas.

Memo. DufEnergy Trading SA, headquartered in Lugano, Switzerland, is engaged in the trade of electricity, natural gas and liquefied natural gas. DufEnergy Trading SA is a subsidiary of Duferco Participation Holdings Limited, and is affiliated with the mining and metallurgical company Duferco Group.
