Twenty convicted persons have been returned to Ukraine from uncontrolled territory in Donbas, according to the parliament`s envoy for human rights.
”A new round of the transfer of 20 convicted persons from uncontrolled territory to Ukraine has taken place on the initiative of the Verkhovna Rada`s ombudsperson for human rights today,” the envoy`s press service told UNIAN.
There are two women and one man with special needs among them.
”This is a fifth successful operation to transfer prisoners [from militant-controlled areas to Ukraine],” the press service said.
In total, 87 convicted persons have been returned to Ukraine as of today.
