About 46,500 pieces of military hardware, arms repaid during ATO

Ukraine`s Defense Ministry has reported on the number of military hardware and weapons repaired since the beginning of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine, which started in April 2014.
”Since the beginning of the ATO, 46,500 units of military hardware and weapons have been repaired. Of them, 43,500 were fixed by the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry`s Communications and Press Department Oksana Havryliuk said on Tuesday.
”In the past week alone, the repairs teams of the Armed Forces of Ukraine brought 308 units of military hardware back to life, these are namely tanks, weapons, anti-tank systems, combat vehicles, which will be used for military operations in the ATO zone,” she said.
The ministry has managed to prevent UAH 466 million in excess spending by contractors of budget funds on state defense orders, she said.
Military agencies also transferred UAH 2.67 million to the Defense Ministry`s special fund for services of quality control over repairs and production for other law enforcement and defense departments.
