Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko has stated that some 5.5 million Ukrainian households have applied for utilities subsidies, adding that the number of applicants for subsidizing is expected to grow to 8.5-9 million.
”Over 80,000 households applied for subsidies last week alone,” Rozenko said during an intercom meeting of the government on Thursday.
The average sum of a subsidy per family in the 2016-2017 heating season will be about UAH 2,000, or US$77.5, according to Rozenko.
