3 wounded as militants shoot at peaceful protesters in occupied Donbas: Intel

A shooting broke up a peaceful rally in the militant-occupied town of Komsomolsk, as Russian proxies attempted to disperse protesters, wounding at least three, according to a report by Ukraine`s military intelligence.
Discontent is growing about the presence of Russian occupation troops among residents of the temporarily occupied areas in eastern Ukraine, the General Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine`s Defense Ministry wrote on Facebook.
”On July 17, military servicemen from the 1st Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Komsomolsk) of the so-called 1st Army Corps (Donetsk), during the dispersal of a rally held to protest the setting up of firing positions of artillery units in the town`s residential areas, seriously wounded three local civilians from firearms,” the report read.
”To conceal this fact, the Russian occupation command is spinning rumors claiming that the shooting was done by an already dismissed serviceman with a mental disorder,” the Ukrainian intelligence agency reported.
