24 Ukrainian MPs to attend Russian Duma meeting

24 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will attend a meeting of the State Duma Wednesday.
Head of the State Duma Committee on CIS affairs Leonid Slutsky said, RIA Novosti informs.
“Today, in the second half of the day, 24 courageous deputies of the Verkhovna Rada will be guests at our meeting in the second half of the day, who set up a deputy group “For peace and stability,” the Russian agency quotes Slutsky.
By the way, Slutsky did not specify the aim of a visit of the Ukrainian people’s deputies, and did not name the issues to be discussed by the parliamentarians.
The State Duma Committee head believes that the designated deputies of the Verkhovna Rada “in these extremely difficult conditions, often risking their life, without some extra pathetic, stand for the interests of the Russian world, common sense and possibility of the democratic future in Ukraine.”
