13 convicted prisoners escape from Chornukhyne prison after jail shelling on Tuesday

Gunmen’s shelling ruined part of the fence of Chornukhyne maximum security prison making a way for escape of 13 convicted prisoners, according to the statement made on the official website of Luhansk regional administration chief Hennady Moskal.
“The jail in the village of Chornukhyne near town of Popasna, 80 kilometers east of Luhansk, was shelled again by LPR gunmen artillery. Thirteen prisoners sentenced to terms from four to 12 years escaped through gaps in a ruined fencing. Two of the fugitives were convicted of murder, seven – for robbery. None of them was caught, ” the statement said.
As noted, this was not the first escape from prison in Chornukhyne, a village 12 kilometers north of Debaltsevo, that is constantly shelled by the pro-Russian rebels. Last year, three groups of convicts escaped after shelling through damaged fence. Only two of them were caught later in pursuit.
