1 KIA, 2 WIAs among Ukraine troops in last 24 hrs: ATO HQ

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another two – wounded in action in the zone of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas in last day, according to Andriy Lysenko, the spokesman of the presidential administration for the ATO.
According to the Ukrainian official, the enemy lost five men killed and another seven wounded.
”The greatest losses were suffered by the so-called 9th Assault separate motorized rifle regiment of marines, stationed in Novoazovsk and operating in the Mariupol direction,” said Lysenko.
The ATO spokesman added that in the Donetsk direction, the enemy has been actively using mortars across the contact line. A total of 28 enemy attacks were recorded in this area, of which 12 involved heavy weapons.
”Hostilities intensified significantly after 18:00, literally across the whole front line from Zaitseve to Avdiyivka industrial zone as large-scale fire exchange between the ATO forces and the enemy began,” said Lysenko.
”According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a military unit from the 331st Parachute Regiment of the 98th Airborne Division of the Russian armed forces stationed in Kostroma had been deployed in Donbas,” he said.
Lysenko said that the Russian paratroopers would be involved in subversive and reconnaissance activities in Luhanske-Krasnohorivka sector of the front.
Also, according to operational data, the situation remains unchanged in the Mariupol direction, where the occupying forces continue intense shelling of the positions of the Ukrainian military.
”In last 24 hours, 19 enemy attacks were recorded, of which five involved mortars. Almost 90 mortar shells of various calibers were fired at the positions of the Ukrainian military. A flight of an unmanned aerial vehicle of the enemy was also recorded yesterday,” Lysenko said.
