Human Rights Abuses in Russian-Occupied Crimea

This report documents the state of human rights observance in Crimea since the peninsula was annexed by Russia in March 2014. More specifically, the author examines the extent of discriminatory and repressive policies that have been adopted against the ethnic religious and national groups that opposed the annexation, including the indigenous Crimean Tatar community, those who have sought to report on the situation in the peninsula (journalists, civil society activists, and members of NGOs), and holders of Ukrainian passports.
