Russian state-controlled gas giant Gazprom today (26 February) said that it would separate out gas supplies to the rebel-held Donbass region of Ukraine from its dispute with Ukrainian gas company Naftogaz.
Russia and Ukraine are locked in an ongoing conflict over gas supplies, with Russia threatening to cut off gas supplies to Ukraine within days.
