NATO Has Intercepted An ‘Unusual’ Number Of Russian Aircraft In The Past Two Days


NATO has scrambled fighter jets to intercept an unusually high number of Russian military aircraft on Oct. 28 and 29. The incidents have taken place throughout Europe, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Black Sea, according to NATO Allied Command Operations. Over this two-day period, NATO jets responded to at least 26 Russian jets that were flying in international airspace adjacent to NATO territory. “These sizable Russian flights represent an unusual level of air activity over European airspace,” NATO said in an official statement.
