San Francisco (November 12) – Former Philippine Speaker Jose de Venecia today said two significant plusses in U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s electoral victory is the “removal of the possibility of inter U.S.-Russia nuclear threat” and a “halt in the deterioration of Philippine-American relations.”
De Venecia, five-time Speaker and Chairman of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), told Filipino newsmen of the Asian Journal, which publishes five newspapers in the U.S. West and East Coasts.
“Hopefully, the simmering tension between the U.S., Russia, and European Union on the Ukraine will diminish and President Duterte and Trump will have much better chemistry.”
