MOSCOW– The Russia embassy in the United States said Wednesday that Moscow has the right to build the Crimean Bridge, after Washington condemned its construction and opening over the Kerch Strait., “Crimea is Russia. We shall not ask for anybody’s permission to build transport infrastructure for the sake of Russia’s population,” the Russian embassy said on Twitter.
Russian President Vladimir Putin officially opened the Crimean Bridge that links southern Russia and Crimea early Tuesday.
The construction of the bridge started in 2015 following the incorporation of Crimea in 2014 and consequent deterioration of relations between Moscow and Kiev.
