Kiraki: Integration or assimilation? Ethnic minorities do not maintain traditions


Another issue of Kiraki (Sunday) program is dedicated to the ethnic minorities living in Armenia.
The RA National Assembly ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination in 1993.
According to the data of 2011 census, 57 thousand representatives of ethnic minority live in Armenia.
The biggest community among the ethnic minorities is Yazidis, 35.308, Russians are 12 000, Assyrians and Kurds- more than 2000.
Poles, Germans, Jews, Ukrainians, Georgians and other nationalities also live in Armenia.
